Green Pastures: Ordinary Means of Grace for Ordinary Believersis an introduction to the ordinary means of grace: the Word, baptism, the Lords Supper, and prayer.

This book is a helpful guide to understanding the ordinary means of grace, aimed at the person in the pew. Written as a scriptural survey of the various ordinary means of grace, the book details the idea of what is meant by ordinary means of grace and it walks through the ministry of the Word, the sacraments of baptism and the Lords Supper, and prayer, with a chapter dedicated to each. Finally, there is a discussion on the weekly rhythm the Scriptures reveal for the nourishment of the people of Christ.

This book will be for your soul what the diamond ring hidden inside a velvet presentation box is to a bride-to-be: pure delight. In simple, well-illustrated language, Pastor Davidson teaches us how the covenant Lord blesses His people with lavish gifts of grace. Pastors should distribute Green Pastures to their people, and Gods people need to wonder and delight in its truths. I wish that I had read this book forty years ago!James M. Renihan
